Three staff members, Michael Mosley, 47; Zachary Solis, 28, and Heather McLogan, 48, have been identified and charged with involuntary manslaughter and child abuse. The three men are staff at Lakeside Academy, a residential treatment facility in Kalamazoo intended for young adults ages 12-18, placed through the foster care system or by their parents to receive behavioral health services.
Two of the men laid across Fredericks’s torso during restraint, causing his death. Frederick went into cardiac arrest and later died.
There is a new development on the incident as the three men involved in the murder of the teenage boy have been granted bail.
